The course is designed to allow participants in both private and public sector to understand the central issues in environmental litigation and enforcement. The interactive training offers practical advice on preparing, presenting, prosecuting and defending environmental and land use cases.
Course contents include:
- Introduction and overview of environmental litigation;
- Understanding the Court Process (preparing records to achieve effective use of environmental documents, witness examination and defence strategies);
- Trends in public interest litigation;
- Understanding the environmental litigation process (perspectives from the bench, honing your presentation skills, assessing burden of proof etc).
